In Aug of 2007, Kevin was diagnosed with cancer and now spends his days, with his 2 young sons, his fiance, and her daughter Mikki, putting up the good fight and doing his best to let God, togetherness, and Love make him better each day!

Kevin was nominated for two awards in the 2007 Detroit Music Awards!
Outstanding Rock/Pop Instrumentalist and
Outstanding Rock/Pop Songwriter.
Born in the heart of the Motor City, in the Mexican Town district better known as Southwest Detroit, Kevin was raised within walking distance from Motown Records by his Grandmother and Mother.
His Father, of whom he never had the chance to know, left early on at the at the age of two.
Numb to the violence and disfunctions of a street life kid, son of a heroine addict, he struggled and survived for over 24 years on the streets amongst what most people would consider a dangerous brood of street hoods, rebels, gangs and drug lords.
To Kevin they were family, "homies", brothers of love and war, and an everyday part of life, from morning till night, teaching him how to live, die, fight and survive even when times were at their worst.
He witnessed first hand
the Detroit riots, gang wars, drugs, drive-by's and poverty, much more than any child should ever have to endure by the age of 13, but no matter what life sent his way, good or bad, he always found himself reaching out to the power of music, and found solitude and inspiration from the lyrics of many legendary 70's artists, which played a major role in his upbringing, and paved a road of life, love, and culture with gold.
He attended Detroit Public Schools-
(Webster Elementary, Earhart Jr High and Western High Schools) and despite "the hand" he was dealt, miraculously remained out of the morgue as well as the judicial system, and continued to be a B average student throughout his school years.
During the 1st year of High School, a welcome change began to take place.
Introduced by neighbors to the world of music, it was at this time that he decided to lay down the guns, pick up the guitar, and found himself making his first live stage appearance just 2 weeks later in front of a full house at the Carriage Wheel Lounge in Westland, Mi. with friend and musical mentor Billy Lash and the Fourplay band.
From this night forward, he recognized a new calling in life.
Away from the gunfire and closer to a dream,
the sound of amplifiers and the applause of an audience pulled him a few steps further from being just another inner city statistic.
An unbelievable amount musical tunnel vision then guided him on a day by day venture to be the best Bassist, Singer, Songwriter that he could possibly be.
It was a life changing decision leaving the streets
for yet another battle. This one being fought in the world of music.
But by following that dream, and with many years of musical dedication, he found himself the recipient to over 10 Metro Times Motor City Music Awards/ Detroit Music Awards, tours of the United States as well as England and Scotland, countless performances amongst Top 10 Recording Artists such as
Kid Rock, Joe Walsh, Richard Marx, Joan Jett, Cheap Trick, The Bodines, Eddie Money, Greg Almann, The Del Fuegos, Will (Sexton) and the Kill, The BulletBoys, The Tubes, and many others.
He has written and recorded many respected original compositions which ultimately placed him in the Top 40 National Airplay Charts, is a BMI affiliated songwriter and holds a Rotosound USA Endorsement!
