whateverlife.comMusician/Producer...Tino Gross is the mastermind behind Funky D Studios in Detroit. as a Performer with Detroit legends the Howling Diablos he started his love affair with music at the age of 7 when he received his first axe, a used burgandy sparkle Gretsch snare drum with a calfskin head on it purchased from George Hamilton's Drum Shop on Broadway in downtown Detroit. Tino quickly started emulating his drum hero, Gene Krupa, and adapted the greaser-style funk of the Ventures, Chuck Berry, and Bo Diddley/Rolling Stones/Jimi Hendrix........................ ..Tino has performed with HOWLING DIABLOS/George Clinton/KID ROCK/Uncle Kracker/DETROIT COBRAS/Hank Williams JR./ BOB DYLAN/John Lee Hooker/HUSH/Charles Caldwell/Paradime/Earl King/Eddie Bo/Scott Morgan/Dennis Tek/Grant Green/Eddie Taylor/Jimmie Rodgers/Romantics/KING GORDY/Dee Dee RAMONE....and many, many more...................Tino has produced the last 2 albums,"Darker Blues" and "A Bothered Mind" for RL Burnside on Fat Possum Records, and "Car Wash" by the Howling Diablos on Alive! Records..................................................... Tino can be heard on "Early Mornin' Stone Pimp" rappin and singing with Kid Rock. EMSP was also featured in the MTV movie "Road Trip"...
