Sounds Like: ..I was born in S. Korea 1980. I started drum when I was 15 years old.Gradually, I became interested in music from Japan, called J-POP, which introduced me to new chords and progressions.Since then, I have been listening to the music of Japanese fusion jazz music. The Japanese fusion jazz scene influenced me and helped my musical development in a big way. One day when I was playing at a church, one of my teacher's suggested to me that I should start studying jazz drum. After that advice I began to study jazz.It was during my time in the conservatory of Soong-Sil University im Seoul that I realized the great importance of a working knowledge of musicality. I met a lot of musicians which led to diverse experiences in music.I started playing and teaching a small musical performance at a church. I grew a lot from this experience. After graduating from conservatory I worked and arranged for many companies on the jazz and pop music scene. While working with CCM (Christian Contemporary Music), Jazz, Funk, Musical music, K-pop, Radio music, Commercial film music, Music Video, I grew a lot from this experience as well. I went to military band in 2001-2003 then I played a lot of different kind of music like Percussion performance, jazz combo, big band, marching band etc. after finished The military service I decided to study abroad then I heard about Amsterdam school of Music call ‘CVA’ and soon after moved to Amsterdam in 2004.I currently study Amsterdam school of music and Master study in ArtEZ Conservatory. I currently work with a few different bands: Jazz In Holland, Soo Cho Trio, The Theater Engelenbak Open Combo, and my own Quartet.
