Hannes Riepler

I was born in Austria/Innsbruck in 1979. Soon later started singing and playing the recorder ;-) old enough to decide myself what to do I began playing the drums and guitar at age 8. In Highschool had some little tours as a drummer in a brass orcheastra but soon the guitar became the main thing.did/do live and study in Innsbruck, Amsterdam (Bmus) and London (Mmus) and am busy writing and playing music...Some people I had the chance to play and work with: Minu Cinelu, Adam Holzmann, Bobby Shew, Stan Sulzman, Loris Holland, Henry Lowther, Jiggs Whigham, Gene Calderazzo, Jean Toissant, Brian Abrahams, Nikki Iles, Alec Dankworth, Martin Speake, Abraham Wilson, ...and of course and as much important to me: all my fellows and friends I had the chance to work and play with....you know who you are!My new Quartet in London features Jon scott on drums, Phil Donkin/Tom Farmer on bass, Tom Challenger on tenor sax. Also there's a band on feat Martin Speake and Sam Lasserson.I'm playing and writing songs with Mishka Adams (CANDID REC)also jammin' and giggin' quite a bit with Brian Edwards, Miles Danso, Zhenga Strigalev, Alam Nathoo...etc
