Esben Tjalve born in 1978 in Denmark. I started to play with the acid band Kafmaroc at the age of 14. Kafmaroc dissolved about 1998 and most of the members of the band started to play jazz instead. Between 2000 and 2004 I went to the Royal Academy of Music in London. During my time at the Academy the band Red Kite was formed. Red Kite has performed at many London venues and at Copenhagen Jazz Festival. The members of Red Kite are Chris webster, trombone, Christoffer Appel, saxes, Esben Tjalve, piano, Jasper Hoiby, bass and George Hart, drums. Apart from this project I am in Seymours Fat Lady, featuring; Sam Steer, guitar and Patrick David. Reinis Axelsons quintet featuring; Reinis, Fulvio, Auden and Matt. Lastly I have joined the band Miss King and the Kougars.
