Born in Nuernberg (Germany) in 1983, I started my musical journey playing the piano from age 6, later I continued working with synthesizers, samplers and computers, exploring the sonic possibilities within machines.
This activities had a long-term impact, and I am still doing recording and mastering. All samples of the Hornung Trio are for example a result of my work, not only as a bass player, but I also recorded, mixed and mastered the whole session.
After picking up the bass guitar at age 15, I soon felt the urge to take my playing to a professional level, and since I got in touch with jazz and it's relatives, I began studying bass guitar and double bass in Wuerzburg (DE), continuing in Stuttgart (DE) and Amsterdam (NL).
Playing bass guitar and double bass, I have worked in a variety of ensembles including the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart (RSO), Kammertheater Stuttgart and the Youth Jazz Orchestra of Bavaria.
Besides I shared the stage with individuals like Hans-Peter Salentin, Tine Schneider, Hubert Winter, Michael Arlt, Randal Corsen, David de Marez-Oyens etc.
