History:
Pete Mielke is an Indie Canadian artist who started his musical career as a drummer in the late 80’s and then later switched to the acoustic guitar. Wanting to play with other musicians Pete jammed with local artists and went on to play with bands such as: Murky Pudding and Taylor Made. Pete went on to collaborate with even more artists and became a rhythm and lead guitarist as well as co-songwriter for different Blues Rock bands including Moose Leg, Old Special and Diamonds & Rust. Pete applied his bass playing skills, backing vocals and songwriting to a Hard Rock band named Soul Stealer which disbanded in the mid 90’s. Pete has played many venues in the Southern Ontario region for audiences as small as 25 people and as large as 500.
After over a decade long hiatus, in 2007 Pete started writing material for his solo project and began copyrighting his original works through the government offices of CIPO (Canadian Intellectual Property Office). Classified as a Bass/Tenor with a 3-Octave range Pete is continually experimenting with how he can weave the sounds of his voice and his acoustic creations. Pete has built a home studio and is currently working on his 5th original track in preparation for his debut CD. His musical endeavours are aptly under the name Acousto-Eclectic Productions which accurately describes not only his varied tastes in music but also the flavours of his all-orignial sound.
