A Little Vain Biography
Venice in Vain were born in winter of 2002 when singer
Omar Vestri and drummer Paolo Angelillo
decided it was time
to form a serious band after having played in other unfortunate projects.
Between April and July Mary Caliò (Piano and Keyboards) and
Danilo Bar (Guitars) joined them and the band began to create
structures for the
first songs and compositions.
They decided to give a
rock/metal and symphonic/progressive direction
to their ideas and when the first bass-player, Valerio Lo Cascio,
joined the band Venice in Vain were able to record
the first self-producted album in summer of 2003.
Between 2004 and 2005 the band played wherever
it was possible to play making all the sacrifices
that all unknown bands must do.
But after few months the band decided to end
the collaboration with Valerio Lo Cascio and,
after a
short research, Miro Jayme became the new bass-player
of Venice in vain.
Unfortunately, life is never easy, life is real, life is a bitch ...
... and for a thousand reasons the project slowed down ...
But a renewed passion and a new solution gived the band
the force to return on their steps
and
new songs are ready to be recorded.
With the three new entries,Trigger (Bass), Vito Guerrieri (Drums)
and Giacomo Roggia (Piano and Keyboards) the V.I.V. Project
is ready to start again ...
There will be a "sad" choice between 16 new compositions,
16 new tracks that, remaining on the same style,
they give a different sound and a different action to the band.
Surely, it will be more personal and intimate ... because life is a bitch!
I hope to give a sense to my words ... as soon as possible ...
Omar Vestri.
