I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a native of the Chicago area who new from an early age the ocean was where I would have to live. Lived in South Florida for 7 years and moved to So Cal in June of 2006. I love it here, have met some wonderful people and friends and plan on making this my home for life.I work as a freelance writer, screenwriter and am very passionate about storytelling in all forms. Wish I could sing, can't- so I try my best to bring emotion and character to light with words.I'm also nice to puppies and old people. To give the digested version of myself personally:Important:Friendship, honesty, love, laughter, adventure and the discipline to leave things better than I found them. The smile of a friend too long away and the journey home after a day on the water.Disdain: Poor attitude, bigots, hypocrisy, self-serving and the belief that love is found instead of given. I think also we might concentrate on more important things than finding a cure for restless leg syndrome.Passions: The open water, a turn of phrase you can't forget and movies that you know line for line.

My Interests

Writing, networking, movies and reading screenplays. Reading as much as possible, meeting interesting and creative people of all walks of life. People watching, muttering to myself, slamming my head without consequence into my keyboard, the infrequent blessing to finally, mercifully type- The End. ...Playing by the ocean, driving up the coast, singing in the shower, diving for oysters, flying the space shuttle,double-extra cheese pizza, assless chaps, thumbwrestling, air guitar, etc,etc...VISIT MY BLOG AND MAKE FUN OF ME!BLOGGING FOR APPLES!CHECK OUT MY NEW STORY AT OFF COURSE : Offcourse!

I'd like to meet:

Writers of all genre are always welcome at my door. Creative people, people in the industry- anyone who tries as best they can to put others before their own desires-people who live for the goosebumps creation can bring and who choose to follow their dreams.also......

Music:

I'm all over the map with music, grew up on old school rock but love the music of today, as long as it pulls something out of me, puts something into me and/or makes me dance like the white boy I am I'm down. Sinatra by the way... is KING!

Movies:

..tell a good story, that's all I ask. To name a few.. .. ..

Television:

I see very little but again, a good storyline will keep me tuned in when I have time. Many of the cable shows seem to be of much higher quality than the network lineups right now. ..

Books:

Nowhere near enough space..most of the classics, Hemmingway, Salinger, Byron, Pound, Joyce and Collette are my personal favs.. I tend to read more screenplays currently than fiction but try and keep up as much as possible.Jeff Slayton's Biography on Viola Farber, Local Author; check it out: http://www.thepricklyrosebio.com
