I am here for Friends

About Me

Born in the evening on Halloween, I'm a California native. My ethnic background is German, English, Irish, and Scottish. I was a single mom for many years, and I have 2 grown sons. The younger of the two is 23 and will not allow his photo or name posted. He thinks myspace is sT0oPiD...he'll get over it someday and until then, I'll respect his wishes. Below is a clip of my 27 year old son Justin and his self-taught talents! I love the desert, the mountains, camping, hiking, 4-wheelin' and fishing. I'm most at home being in, on, or around the water. Porterhouse steak and Catfish is heavenly. I prefer white chocolate, and vanilla has always been my favorite flavor since I was old enough to choose. My favorite place is Redwood country in Northern California and the Northern Coastline. Live rock and blues is my idea of great entertainment. I dig gardening and growing my own vegetables, as well as my cactus collection. I'm very creative and enjoy various crafts such as glass mosaics, and I'm an excellent seamstress.

My Interests

PictureTrail Slideshow

I'd like to meet:

My tribe member friends.

Music:

KLOS radio rocks! All the DJs are awesome, but my favorite shows are Theme of Consciousness Friday, The Seventh Day, Breakfast with the Beatles and mornings with Mark and Brian and family. As much as I hate the sound of commercials as they try to scare and shock me, or SHOUT as they sell their products, I still love to hear the DJs. The sound of a real person at the other end of the air waves is a comfort to me.

I'm a Lyrics Freak. Favorite Artists: Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Robert Plant, Van Morrison. Favorite Guitarists: Justin Goff, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Joe Satriani, and Jesse Cook. Favorite Groups: Led Zeppelin, Metallica, The Eagles, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra. All Time Favorite Album: BRIDGE OF SIGHS - Robin Trower. Favorite Singer: Paul Rodgers. Favorite Songs: INTO THE MYSTIC - Van Morrison, AT LAST - Etta James.

Movies:

Recently I watched THE SECRET. I'm a huge fan of animated films. My all time favorite movies are THE DEER HUNTER, and DEATH BECOMES HER. I enjoy all movie categories, except for slasher flicks. Blood and guts don't bother me if it lends itself to the story, and isn't in itself THE story. The viewing of human organs that are normally kept WITHIN the body cavity, is not my idea of entertainment.

Television:

Most watched channels: FX, Discovery, CourtTV, HBO, HGTV, ABC7, and MNBC. My favorite shows: Deadwood, The Soprano's, The Wire, The Shield, Rescue Me, Survivor, FutureWeapons, Big Brother, Dateline: To Catch a Predator, The Apprentice, The NFL, Cops, AMW, Nip/Tuck, and The Bachelor, plus anything about real life forensics.

Heroes:

My Dad, My Mom and My Sons. The military, and all people who put their lives on the line in their daily duties by serving the community.

Quiet, deep, emotionally complex and intensely private, you are not a person who is easy to get to know and understand. You are extremely sensitive, but disinclined to show it. You allow only a special few into your inner world. Like a wary animal, you are cautious and mistrustful of those you do not know until you can “check them out”. You usually have a strong, immediate gut reaction to people, even though you may be unable to articulate why you feel as you do. Your feelings and perceptions go deeper than words.
