.. width="425" height="350" ..Hailing from Connecticut and Massachusetts, the Bloodshot Hooligans blend a mix of old school hardcore and west coast punk rock which creates a sound that is unique to the music scene around the area. The band puts an emphasis on a fun energetic live show which unites the punks, skins, hardcore kids, which only a handful of bands can successfully do.
The Bloodshot Hooligans were formed in the fall of 1999, which featured Tim Hannon-drums, Josh Hannon-vocals, Brian Hannon-Guitar, and John Ross-Bass. Playing shows all throughout the area they started having a growing fan base and put out a demo which was recorded by Bill Chamberlain (the Pist) and Pete Fratta (React) at Studio X in Torrington, CT. The demo also featured Aaron Knuckles from Death Threat and it was just a taste of what was to come from the Hooligans. The band also welcomed a second guitarist, Max Zeigler who completed the sound in which they were going for. In August of 2000, The band went to Planet Z Studios in South Hadley, MA (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, 100 Demons) and recorded 9 songs which is now there self titled debut CD released on Asbestos Records. The band also released a limited edition 7 on Shout It! Records. Which sold out quickly. The band is also featured on a DRI tribute compilation "We Dont Need Society" and has been on numerous other comps. The band is now currently recording at Silver bullet Studios in Burlington, CT with Greg Thomas(The Risk Taken) recording the follow up to the self titled CD called "Bring Back the Spirit".
The Bloodshot Hooligans have a very diverse range of influences, which can be heard in the songs. They have a love for hardcore, punk rock, and Rock and Roll. With the main influences being Murphys Law, Bouncing Souls, Social Distortion, Blood For Blood, H2O, and Kid Dynamite. They take pride in not imitating any of these bands but working off of the different styles and creating their own style of punk rock.
Over the past five years Bloodshot has had the chance to share the stage with many legendary and up and coming bands. They have opened for such legendary acts as Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags, Vision , Forced Reality, and Iron Cross. Also playing with many top Hardcore and punk bands of today; such as Pennywise, Hatebreed, Madball, Fallout Boy, Death Threat, Flogging Molly, Bury your Dead, Nonpoint and many more.
