Emotional Management is the baby of our belief that the world has suddenly shifted for musicians. Gone are the days of giant advances and huge staffs on the payroll at the major labels. They are dying on their feet. It's a brave new world and what is required is flexibility and speed. We believe in building the long term artistic career of the artist. This, of course, also involves the artist. Working our arse off together, making things happen and taking advantage of opportunities as they present themselves is what we are about. Spreading the word until everybody knows the word. It is all about playing live as much as possible. Recording and releasing as much as possible. Being on television and cinema as much as possible. Being as good as we can possibly be. Between us we have 25 years in the music business. My name is Hamish. I have been signed to the biggest labels and have toured the world. I have seen every shitty trick imagineable. Her name is Astrid. She has a masters in music management. I'm the artistic liason, she's the nuts and the bolts. Together we are Emotional Management. Er war bei den größten Plattenfirmen der Welt unter Vertrag, ist durch die Welt getourt und hat jeden erdenklich dreckigen Trick der Branche gesehen. Mein Name ist Astrid. MARTIN & JAMES "You're alive"
Here is a film of Martin&James playing live in Berlin. There were 2 Neumann room mics facing them and two panasonic mini-dv cameras. The edit was done by Kai, who directed, and Sven was second camera, lights and sound. The sound went through a field mixer and directly onto the camera with the picture. There is no studio trickery here, this is how they sound in the flesh.
