About Me

Acute nervous anxiety brought on by death fear prompts musical excess.
I was reared in the Beer and Marmite making miasma of Burton-Upon-Trent.
I had no fun back then and became an introspective mess.
Now I sing and play pianos and guitars and banjos and drums and accordions and ukuleles and suchlike.
And I write a lot of music.
I have released one E.P and one single.
My debut album 'Onward!' is being finished with some mixes by producer Dave Bascombe.
My July was an unrelenting UK tour in support The Silent League (with whom I also performed vocals, ukulele and percussion).
We did a BBC 6Music set, played Godiva festival with Super Furries and relocated Oxford Brookes Truck festival with Garth Hudson, and a lush Bush Hall show in support of Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls).
I work extensively with Nick Hemming in both Christiansilva and 'The Leisure Society' (as heard in the Shane Meadow's movies 'A Room For Romeo Brass' and 'Dead Man's Shoes').
I produce music for my musical friends.
I make music for TV ads and things sometimes.
I am trying my very best to create music that means something to you.
Stick with me.

Sounds Like: "Christiansilva’s ‘The Chopping Board,’ is a gem worthy of Brett Anderson. The vocals have a Bowie meets Turin Brakes thing going on."."Subba Cultcha

"bewitching and glamorous...thrillingly original and epic...christiansilva's debut mini-album truly startles."UNCUT

"Brilliant!"Huw Stephens, Radio 1

"CHRISTIANSILVAS Break From The Past, a kind of domestic violence Bohemian Rhapsody that cuts through the subjects taboos like an obsessively sharpened blade" Mike Roberts, Whisperin & Hollerin

"...a smorgasbord of musical influence, and a stunning sound for ones so young to create! EP Of The Month." Subba Cultcha

The debut EP from Christian Silva is a gloriously fine piece of pop decadence. The sound is so over the top, the band dares you not to like it. Sweet Lord, I tried, but its just so damn infectious."Ian Nelson, Kaffeine Buzz

"A quite brilliant joy."Crud Magazine

"Imagine if you will, that Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens and Super Furry Animals are locked in a room with nothing but instruments and a shed load of drugs for company. As mad as a box of frogs, and all the more amazing for it."David Renshaw, Gigwise

"...achingly tight and buttoned down into an entertaining roustabout that never gets too excited or loud, yet commands the dance floor with side stepping drum beats and handclaps. It all adds up to a pretty incredible sound at times - go listen yourself at MySpace - its worth it."Manchester Music

"The best elements of glam rock and modern indie brilliantly entangled into a fantastically dynamic four and a half minutes. The Christian Silva boys are set to make themselves known in a big way."Hayley Byrne, SCAN

"Thoroughly endearing. Perhaps its because their lyrics about maggots in the kitchen are hitched to appealing pop melodies. Well worth snapping up." Beatmag

"...catchy, lo-fi and warped...Not a band to do things by halves"Tastyfanzine.org.uk

"Hardy manages something that Matthew Bellamy never has, and leaves the pain out of his vocals, whilst maintaining the impact." Cherwell 24

"Like sitting on a wall in the height of Summer while the rain pours down, there's something intricately British about its slightly downtrodden yet optimistic nature."This Is Fake DIY.co.uk

"...the London quartet caused quite a stir with their debut EP Bring His Head. Christian Silva are not a band to adhere to the boundaries of genre. The track is an epic, brooding number... and glorious at that. Christian Silva show themselves to be highly talented, leaving no doubt they shall continue to be lauded for their varied sound."Contact Music

"18 minutes of undiscovered pop joy leaving you warm inside and itching to press play again. Get this." Culture Deluxe.com

"Roaring, soaring and thankfully never boring, they serve up a clutch of swooners that are particularly hard to resist when Guys' piano really takes unbridled swing; if Muse's return next year is even a quarter as majestic as this it'll be because the Teignmouth trio have raised their game. Honestly. Prodigious of talent, angelically versatile of voice and positively Adonisian...Silva by name, but indie gold by nature"Playlouder

"Bursting with life and colour" London Now

"...his voice soars and reaches into new regions...given half a chance christiansilva could become a serious contender for some major attention"ireallylovemusic.co.uk
