Tal Coleman is a musician and story teller influenced by traditional music from the
far and Middle East.
She is a student of Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia; the great Indian flute master.Tal had
studied with him both in India and in the Rotterdam concervervatory of music and has
performed with him in Israel and Norway. Another inspiring teacher has been David Hykes
who initiated the Harmonic choir. They have performed together in Oslo in the fall of
2005.
Tal has been studying, exploring and teaching the healing aspects of music for the
last 17 years.
Tal is a graduate from Tel-ÂAviv University with a B.A. in Theatre.
While she lived in Israel she was successfully running her own musical storytelling
theatre. Tal has been running a special kind of choir in Oslo since spring 2006 called Harmonic Echoes as well as giving concerts and healing sound workshops.The workshops as well as the choir offer a unique opportunity to explore the realm of Harmonic Resonance. Open for anyone interested in working with sound using and exploring their own voice. our own voice,says Tal, is a unique therapeutic tool which can be consciously developed through toning,improvising, chanting and overtone-singing.
Tal has developed along the years a healingsound method called Harmonic Therapy playing Tibetan bowls and gongs, flutes and voice,intertwined with Shiatsu and Reiki..
