Then, many centuries later came the legendary Pannalal Gosh (1911-1960) who introduced the Bansuri to Hindusthani Classical Music, followed by many great maestros and Pandits: There’s Pt. Vijay Ragav Rao and his former disciple, now one of India’s most renowned flautists, the amazing Pt. Ronu Majumdar; then there is the Krishna of Bansuri, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia and his fabulous senior disciples Rakesh Chaurasia and Roopak Kulkarni; furthermore we want to mention Harsh Wardhan in Delhi, exquisite flautist and maker of the best Bansuris, and then Nityanand Haldipur and G.S. Sachdev, both former students with Pannalal Gosh, and many long time accomplished students of these masters.

Myself, I am just a practicing student who has started the instrument much too late in his life. But that doesn’t take away from the burning fascination for the bamboo flute that lives within me. A spirit being once said to me in one of my inner journeys: "I will reveal to you the secret of Raga". Since then, I am listening to the great masters, mystified and awed by their incredible skills.
Rather than displaying my own work here, I’d like this space to be a meeting place for all the Bansuri players, and for all Indian Classical musicians. I want to honor all those East and West who dare to venture into the mystery of Raga. It is one of the most beautiful secrets, being revealed as time brings the magic melodies from the distant past into our time ...
