About Me

Simple man, trying to make his way in the universe. Well aware he has chosen so many wrong paths, he's not even sure he's in the right forest anymore. I haven't seen any lions, tigers, or bears, but I've met a lot of snakes. Lived with one for a bit.
"All I really ever wanted was just a normal picket fence type life. I never had that. Still. I'll probably never have it. I'm too weird. Never going to happen." -- Art Alexakis
"I'll let myself sleep soon, and hope to hell the world doesn't seem so fractured when I wake up. Having said that, I also hope I wake to find half this city committed suicide in my honor." ~Spider Jerusalem, Transmetropolitan
"I always figured when I got older, God would sorta come into my life somehow. And he didn't. I don't blame him. If I was him I would have the same opinion of me that he does." ~Sheriff Bell, No Country for Old Men
In other words, I'm far too complex to depend on a little blurb or words to fully explain me. Ogres have layers.

My Interests

Movies, sushi, Japan, Art, Photography, Film, Theology, Tarot, Filmmaking, Wine, Literature, Revenge, Music, Whitewater rafting, reading, Internet, Friends, Religious/Political/Idealistic Debate, Politics, Vintage Records, Comics, History, Libertarianism, Computers, Writing, Poetry, Entertainment Promotion, Laughter, Political/Government Conspiracy, Vietnam, Iraq, myspace, World of Warcraft, metaphysical studies, meditation, Ninjutsu, Drums, Disaster preparedness, Wilderness survival, Special effects makeup, Star Wars, Chaos Theory, Christian Conspiracy, Holy Blood Holy Grail, Westerns, Horror movies, Sci-Fi Marathons, Death, Taoism, Buddhism, Universal Life Church, Wicca, Paganism, Jack Parsons, Sleight of Hand, Tea, Satanism, Left Hand Path, Asian supermarkets

I'd like to meet:

Someone smart, funny, and that can deal with my eccentricity. Truthfully, that's a generalization. I'm in the process of figuring things out, and pretty certain I know what I want.

I WOULD like to meet Elvis. And probably a few other dead celebrities.

Also, I'd really like to talk to Alex Jones. For that matter, anyone who wants to talk about political intrigue, conspiracy, or why you shouldn't believe everything spoonfed to you.

And seeing as I'm a filmmaker, anyone interested in film should drop me a line. That about does it....well, maybe if Marilyn Monroe and Bettie Page were alive and in their prime, I'd ask them to spank each other....but that's not likely, so just the other stuff then.

As for 'people I'd like to meet' in a dark alley.....well, they know who they are, mostly.

Until that day...

Movies:

This is an ongoing list. I'll put it up when I'm done with it.

This was an unfair question for a film guy, because I'm just going to list my top 100 movies.

I never seem to have time for television. Firefly was amazing, though. Deadwood, Carnivale, and Ninja Warrior, too.

No Country for Old Men.And my Lemegeton.

Heroes:

My Dad. Simply put, he's always been there for me, stood up for me, and believed in me. My Mom and Grandmother, too, for always believing in me. Also Brian Welliver(because he is an ironballed gutsy motherf*cker), Abdel Haiba(because he's more American than most Americans I know), and a couple other people I'm sure I'll list eventually. And Niki. Kim too. Niki and Kim are pretty much the most perfect people I know.
