I am here for Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Hi. I’ve been lucky enough to live a terrifically interesting life so far... done more than most people dream of doing - travelled all over the world extensively, worked on cruiseships, won awards for various interests, lived in a homeless shelter for a while, written columns for newpapers, been literally shipwrecked, and am successful at whatever I put my mind to.
What I do now is live my life, my way... and believe that everyone else should be able to do the same. What I care about is living a good life that brings me deep and real joy and fulfillment!
I have a son who I am proud of first and foremost and if there was a socialist party, I’d vote for it. I am positive, optimistic and driven by ambition and faith in my connection to what is Good.
I make films with a social conscience and you can check out that work on my website RED KEY PRODUCTIONS
Live & Love well, Be Happy! And have lots of good sex.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Filmmakers & interesting characters.

Music:

I enjoy all kinds of music that has a strong rythmn & melody to it, like Vertical Horizon, Sting, U2, Beck, Gin Blossoms, Go West -- I'm just not that into Country. The kind of rythmns I especially enjoy are London Beat, Acid House and Swing.

Movies:

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind","Cinema Paradiso","Man on the Moon", "The Shawshank Redemption", "Hotel Rwanda", "Being There", "Planes, Trains and Automobiles", "Sideways", "Forest Gump", "The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover", "Blue Velvet", "AI", "ET", "Flying High", "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", "The Terminator" series, "Garden State"

Television:

I watch random things on TV - I rarely follow one particular program. My favorite channels are the News Channels - I can keep CNN hovering in the background all day, and of course Cartoon Network for my kid. Love Seinfeld, Ben-10, Meet the Press, Discovery Channel and sometimes CSPAN! (it is amazing what detailed info you get on there)

Books:

"The Power of One" by Bryce Courtney
"Disgrace" by JM Coetzee
"Getting Things Done" by David Allen
"Pattern Recognition" by William Gibson
Various manuals on writing C#, PHP and other code for work
Any Dean R Koontz books.

Heroes:

Ghandi, MLK, Nelson Mandela, Woody Allen, Teen Titans, Chauncy Gardner

An open letter to a hot-headed Director

So I've recently been offered a role in a short movie and I called up the director, talked to him about my concerns with the script and then told the director I would consider the role if he coul...

Achieving your childhood dreams

I don't often repost things.  But I came across this video by chance on YouTube and I ended up watching all 75 minutes of it, being completely engaged.  It is one of the best uses of my...

My review of the Oscar nominated shorts

I have recently started writing a column for a local monthly magazine/newspaper called "The Atomic Tomorrow".  It is really quite an obtuse little small-press publication, but that is the appeal ...
