Umberto Napolitano 25/04/1957 Praia a Mare (CS) Italy (Pianist and Composer), he got a singing diploma at the State Conservatoire F. Cilea in Vibo Valentia, studied piano with Mariano Patti, currently teacher at the Conservatoire San Pietro in Maiella (NA), attended jazz piano courses with Nino De Rose, harmony, phrasing and improvising techniques with Andrea Alberti and Stefano Sabatini, composition and arrangement with Francesco D’Errico.He has played and collaborated with Toni Armetta, Javier Girotto, Rosario Giuliani Andrea Polinelli, Nino De Rose, Giancarlo Maurino, Daniel Studer, Dario Rosciglione, Mauro Verrone, Claudio Mastracci, Sandro Satta, Daniele Sepe, Giulio Martino, Franco Piana, Angelo Adamo, Guido Di Leone, Marco Agliodi, Ermanno Del Trono, Vittorino Naso, Antonello Mango, Tiziana Grezzi, Felice Clemente, Roberto Polito, Franco Marino, Carlo Caligiuri, Fabrizio La Fauci, Sasà Calabrese, Vincenzo Gallo, Giovanni De Sossi, Leonardo Vulpitta (Leon Pantarei), Serafino, Lutte Berg and others.In 1996, together with the EOS, he made the Cd “Mosaico†produced by the German recording company Yvp Music, distributed by I.R.D. Milan, recommended and reviewed in specialized magazines such as Musica Jazz, Audio Review, Guitar Club. In 2001 he made a new Cd with the band EOS, “Nuovo est†it was also produced by Yvp Music and voted in the “Top Jazz 2001†referendum, category Best Record; it was also reviewed in important specialized magazines as Musica jazz, Jazzit and in daily newspapers as La Provincia, Il Quotidiano, Cronache del Mezzogiorno, Il Domani etc. In 2006 with Toni Armetta and Francesco De Rubeis he made the cd “Eosâ€, produced by the German jazz label Yvp Music, voted in the “Top Jazz 2006†referendum, category Best Record.He plays concerts both in a trio - with which he performed at the Blue Note (Milano), “Catanzaro Jazz Festâ€, at the Centro Jazz Calabria, at the Over Jazz Salerno, at the Peperoncino Jazz Festival, at the Veneto Jazz at the Castello Jazz e dintorni (Lagopesole, PZ), at the Divino Jazz Altomonte, at the Magna Graecia Jazz Festival, at the Scirocco Jazz Festival and in many clubs - and in mixed bands.
