Black Tie Booking

Get ready to party like it’s 2005, all over again!

About Me

The Story So Far:
Black Tie Booking and Promotion is/was a booking company committed to expanding local music and providing shows for independently touring bands which began in late 2004, although it was nameless until the spring of 2006. Originally started out of necessity for my band at the time, The Black Tie Affair, the first show took place on January 3, 2005. After several months of stagnation, I decided to begin booking again in July '05 and continued to constantly book and promote shows regularly until the spring of 2007, at which point I toured more extensively in the band Albuquerque and shortly thereafter the venue I most closely worked with, Captain Tee's, closed down.
Black Tie Booking has worked with touring artists from all over the U.S. and has continuously been able to bring quality bands and performers to Harrisonburg and Staunton, VA. The success of the shows and loyalty of the great crowds of show-goers drove me to push doing shows much longer than I ever expected to and to branch out to also booking tour dates for my band as well as for friends from all over the country. Though I've been inactive with local shows since early '07, my recent move to Charlottesville and rejuvenated interest in booking after a several month break has left me feeling the need to get back into it, bigger and better than ever. Though it may or may not still be called BTB, look for new things in the very new future.

If you are a band looking for a show, please note that I get TONS of requests so be sure to send me a detailed message about your band and the date (or dates, flexability is always really helpful) you need and I'll try to get back to you. Bear in mind tha I am only recently working on beginning shows again after nearly a year hiatus so my ability to help out will be very limited.
