About Me

If I had to pin-point the start of everything musical in my life, it would probably lead me back to my Mother. We had a piano in my living room as kid (and for some reason we painted it this god-awful shade of white) and my family and I used to sit around and sing at the piano while my Mom or my Aunt played. Singing has been the only thing that set me apart from other people. I'm not trying to generate sympathy or anything; its just the truth. Just ask my Dad...he tried to teach me how to play baseball. In 4th grade I played on a team that lost every game...until I quit...then they went on to win the league championship. I took that as a sign that I should focus my attention on what I already had, instead of trying to fit in with everyone else. I was in musicals and plays all through middle and high school (embarrassing) and once I turned 12 and relocated from Jersey to FLA I joined my first band and that's when I learned how to write songs...I started writing to make sense out of the things that were going on around me, and also as a way to bottle up specific moments in time. I've always looked at music differently than anyone I know. It's always been something very personal and important to me, because I put so much of myself into each song I make. It's a way for me to remember the people I meet and the places I go, and writing songs has always helped me move on with my life in a weird sort of way...Whether or not people were listening to was never an issue to me, but sharing my music with all of you is one of the best things thats ever happened to me.So please. listen. and enjoy. because wherever I am. I'll be singing along with you.
