About Me

My names Blake. I'm 20 years young,
I also go by the stage name of "a thornless rose". Recently I've been dealing with a lot of personal and depression issues that have interfered with my music life and so I was forced to put my music off for a while. But now I'm back and I have finally released my first cd entitled, "when all is said and done..." and I'm planning on releasing my 2nd cd this summer on july 18th. I have yet named it, but i am in the process of recording it now. Which is a little hard to do since I'm always on the road, but it's progressing.
So now about the rest of my life. I have lately started an awareness group known as The Basil Project, that raises awareness for teen depression. What The Basil Project does is put on concerts that feature bands that relate to depression and find a way to let teens know that they're not alone.
The Basil Project has teamed up with a non profit organization known as Random People Who Care, and they have both decided to put on a summer tour featuring many different artist in both the mid west and east coast areas, a thornless rose is one of those artists.
I love meeting new people, and trying to help out local bands that are struggling for some contacts to get a good shot in the music industry. Also I fell in love with the most amazing girl ever. She and I have been off and on, but I finally defeated the purpose of wanting what you can't have, cause without her I'm lost. Who is she you might ask. this girl right here.
