About Me

Whats up and thanks for stopping by!
I'm pretty average all around. I play a wide variety of instruments, try and sing a little, and write cliche songs. I pretty much fit right in with about 80% of the musicians across the world. We're not great, we just love what we do.
I began writing songs and playing guitar when I was a teenager. Most of those songs are terrible. That bled over into college, and most of those songs are terrible too.
I tell you this because I want you to understand that I have been through the fire; refined by it. This project LOOK TO THE EAST is a new side of me, a new musical dimension, as well as a new sound.
I've gotten back to the roots of the acoustic guitar. I've played it all, from pop to hard rock to punk rock to hip-hop-fusion to reggae to everything under the sun, and after years of searching I have found my sound: a blend of folk, bluegrass, and a wide range of instruments to flavor it up.
LOOK TO THE EAST is an ensemble of upright bass, acoustic guitars, mandolin, fiddles, cellos, accordions, various wind instruments, banjos, and creative songwriting that give the listener a peek into my life, my frustrations, my struggles, my joys, and my fears. The album itself is fairly dark in lyrical content, but overall the album is very uplifting. It presents a completed thought, from track 1 through track 10.
The album will be available in the early summer. Keep checking back for more info! You could always preorder the album also! check out herringstudios.com!
