I'm a sound recordist / sound mixer in the film and television industry. I get asked a lot if I do the music for shows. No, but when you watch a movie or television show, you hear the actors speaking, right? Well, someone had to record those actors talking. That's what I do.
I record sound for both film and television. Three years ago I had the privilege to record the sound on the independent movie Facing The Giants. Most recently, two independent films are being released this year: Street Dreams and Unstrung. Besides motion pictures, I work on a lot of 36mm and 16mm commercials. I also do a lot of documentary work for folks like National Geographic Explorer, the BBC, and NFL Films.
Some of the TV shows I've worked on include 60 Minutes, Dateline NBC, 48 Hours, COPS, America's Most Wanted, The Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Oprah, Dr. Phil and just about every other cable show that's on. Just in the last two years, I've had the privilege to work on American Idol, The Biggest Loser, The Apprentice: Martha Stewart and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. And we've just wrapped principal photography in Albany, GA on the next Sherwood Pictures independent movie Fireproof, which features Kirk Cameron.
