SWEAT NOT THE VALIDATION OF MAN. JUST DO THE DEAL ~ No parachute required!

People often ask, "What's your best song?" I answer, "Good Shepherd - of course!" The song is great because it is well constructed, has a substantial crescendo, (especially in the hip-hop version which is yet to be recorded) but moreover; the song is just straight to the point. Jesus is the Good Sheperd worthy of our praise, worthy of our trust, and worthy of our full bore dedication. The verses which inspired the lyrics are straight out of Exekiel 34 and John 10. Stop here, look them up! You'll fast learn that Jesus Christ is the salvation of all whom He draws. If you feel drawn but you're, "Not there yet", then I suggest you Read these Chapters and reflect on who you think Jesus is. It does not require much study at all to understand who Jesus is.
Ezekiel 34 and John 10 show us who Jesus is and they also give clear instruction as to whom He is not. Below I have copied part of a direct quote from Jesus found in Luke 6. These verses empower us to be free. I follow with the Apostle Paul's simple description of his ministry which affirms Ezekiel 34 and John 10. Please read on here for Luke 6 and Acts 20 verses with commentary.

Luke 6:33-35

6:33. And if you do good to them who do good to you, what thanks are to you? For sinners also do this.

6:34. And if you lend to them of whom you hope to receive, what thanks are to you? For sinners also lend to sinners, for to receive as much.

6:35. But love ye your enemies: do good, and lend, hoping for nothing thereby: and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the sons of the Highest. For He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.

There is freedom, acceptance and enlightenment in these words of Christ... A surrender based recipe for contentment in the here and now. A Christ centered attitude of beatitude is the roadmap for abundant life!

A caution from Paul regarding the prosperitites: Acts 20:28-35

Acts 20:28 "Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Acts 20:29 "For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

Acts 20:30 "Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

Acts 20:31 "Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.

Acts 20:32 "So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Acts 20:33 "I have coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel.

Acts 20:34 "Yes, you yourselves know that THESE HANDS have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me.

Acts 20:35 "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "

(See also: Ezekiel, Chapter 34 and John, Chapter 10.)

Flee from prosperitites. (Check out the word "flee" in your Concordance!) Praise God for who He is because He is everything, not just for what He gives. If it's about prosperity for you then work hard and earn well. If it's about a magical formula to get rich quick, try your "luck" following the crowd at Amway or in the penny stocks or whatever. But if it's about God for you, then enter through the narrow gate trusting God above all else - He is worthy of your trust. Work hard and give like Jesus does. Exercizing trust, proclaim the living God and make a straight path for the return of the King!

Come visit us any given Sunday at Newgate Mission in downtown Longview just before 8AM. You can also fellowship with us at Resurrection Fellowship Church, 107 Ruthlynn Drive (just off of Judson) in Longview, TX. The service starts at 10:30AM. Following the example of our Lord and Savior, at both Newgate and RFC we enjoy and welcome many diverse friends. We're very happy to report that although religion crucified Jesus, God raised Him from the dead anyway. So much for the crowd's religious opinion. Like little Toto freed the wizard, let's free the pious to do their greatest works. We don't seek subjects, members or servants for ourselves. Instead, we welcome those who may stand upon our shoulders in order to serve His high purpose.

Curious about Jesus? Learn fast, stand up and spread the Word. Time is short. Drop us a note or call us anytime for suggestions. We will be happy to help you to access fast track Christian learning centers near you, no matter where you are on Earth.

Want to help us directly? We can always use help in the form of volunteer time, guidance, prayer and encouragement. We're not interested in getting your money. No, we're not rich; far from it! It's just about storing treasure in heaven and besides, we're politically active so there is no tax advantage. Everything this ministry offers is available for free. Call or write anytime. We will respond promptly. Also, if you're a musician of any kind who wants us to listen, that's fine, we're honored.

"The road with Christ is more exciting, more fulfilling and way more rewarding than any other road this life offers you. If you feel somehow unworthy, then rest easy because it is a fact that God chooses unlikely servants, even "unworthy" ones. Give that consideration for the rest of your life if need be. Either way, God's got a plan built around you.

God will be revealed if you seek Him. That's His promise!
Let's not love this day like we are going to die tomorrow, rather let us love today like we died yesterday. Be free in Jesus Christ!

Make it a Great Day!

Band Members: A revolving door of passionate God seekers: Jim & Katie Spellman, Leland "Scotty" Scott, A.J. Sparacino, Deborah Swan, Andro & Denise Kelly, Russell and Shaan Welch, Nina and Dean-o Williams, Craig Bernson, Rita Spellman, Nigel Spellman, Ellen Spellman, Carla Elliott and a host of passers through. Occassionally we hire professionals to help with recording projects... Folks like: Frank & Jeanne French, Terry & Debbie Fancher, Kim Bozarth, Don Burton and Rebecca Friedlander have been hugely important here. Band membership in Blessed Out Loud! requires no more than a continuous learner who is curious about God and who can be moved to worship beyond 12-21-2012. Musical talent is a secondary consideration as we fully trust God to equip the called.

We are Blessed Out Loud!

We are unique in a few ways... Probably the most noticeable is the fact that we have little fear of crossing borders to find those who have been driven away by religion. Eze 34 / John 10. Our all original styles emerged from the fact that neither of us were trained musicians when all this began a few years ago.

Katie and I have been married more than 25 years. Most church folks thought we were insane to embark on this stuff so late in life. It's a "kids" thing you know. And, God knows we were awkward beginners. We see this ministry as a response to God's extravagant love rather than as a vocation. I am the recipient of a miraculous healing which occured on March 8, 2002. Becoming actively involved in God's music was a big part of that. I am happy... Really happy! Really grateful. It was the prayer of others that freed me. I had no faith of my own and no desire to be healed yet, I was released. Jesus gives.
