Born in the last year of the 1950's at Lincoln as the youngest of 3 boys to Leslie & Sylvia Smith.
My Dad being a Pastor and Evangelist for over 60 years (see Sola Ministry ) has meant a lot of travelling around the country and living in some of the major cities of the UK namely London, Leeds, Manchester, Reading and Hull being the main ones.
My claim to fame? I have been involved in non league football in a number of capacities with two teams. My first was with Whyteleafe Football Club in Surrey where I helped as kit man for the then manager John Johnson then assistant Programme editor with Les Sudds. Shortly after I moved to Hull I joined up with North Ferriby United Football Club initially as a supporter and then joining the committee and became Programme editor latterly I enabled the club to make the giant step to obtaining Floodlights with the generous help of my then employers CEC/Plug In Systems (now part of the Bonus Electrical Group )and their Directors John Chamberlin & David Harrison who gave fantastic sponsorship and enabled this small village club on it's way climbing up the Non League Pyramid.
Getting Married to my lovely wife Michelle in 1989 and subsequently having a family David, Leah and Nathan ended my full time commitment to the club.
