----------- RADIO CAROLINE: ( www.radiocaroline.co.uk ) -----------
Radio Caroline welcomes a new midweek breakfast show host. Tony Paul will be presenting Breakfast in LA on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 7 and 9am from August 8th
Before 1964 in the UK we only had BBC radio broadcasting. On Easter Sunday 1964 radio Caroline started broadcasting pop music from a ship at sea for the first time followed by many others. In 1967 the UK Government introduced the marine offences act, this closed most of the offshore stations. Against all the odds radio Caroline continued to broadcast offshore until 1990. Changing the way we listen to radio in the UK today.
Radio Caroline still broadcasts today on sky Channel 0199, world space, cable, the internet, in Latvia on 945khz and the Rock of the Riviera on 88.4 Mhz.
