the perfect sum of all my flaws

About Me

I'm a creative type. Writing, graphic design, painting, building things ranging from furniture to structures to space pirate ships - I love a good challenge.
Music is my addiction. It's an escape, a release, an inspiration, and so very much more. The right song at the right time can take the worst days and make them wonderful, or push a great day over the top. I listen to a variety of different genres of music. Names like alternative, electro, breakbeat, house, glitch hop, tech, industrial, rock, and pop all have a great ring to them, but more often than not what I end up playing crosses borders, and is more about creating a certain atmosphere. Thanks to the miracles of modern technology, I can now automate the process of making mixes available. Using the subscribe button below, you can automatically get new mixes delivered to iTunes (or whatever program you use for podcasting).
Alternatively, you can browse the different mixes available by clicking here .I've got some of the most amazing, wonderful, and generally kickass friends. If I'm blessed with anything, it's the company of such fine (and talented) people.
I'm pretty good at planning and production as well. I've worked on the purchasing and marketing management side of the computer, electronics, software, video game, music, and home video businesses since the late 1980's and in that time have learned a thing or two about putting events together and sorting out the logistics and details.
In the 1990's, I established Electric Theatre with the idea of creating and supporting art through technology. For more than a decade, it existed primarily as a virtual art gallery on the internet, but recently I've begun transforming it into an art collective. From 2004 to 2006 I was a part of Space Island , a Burning Man camp and art collective based in Los Angeles, California. We built things and staged events and worked with some of the most amazing and talented musicians and performers you could imagine.

My Interests

Music, film, interesting bits of art, creativity, photography, reckless experimentation, voyages of discovery, learning about life the universe and everything, nightclubs of many shapes and sizes, interesting bars and of course the underground... I'm working on a few art, music, and writing projects, so if you don't see me around here much hopefully it's because I'm off working on one of them.

I'd like to meet:

People who love art in all its forms.

Music:

Movies:

I like all kinds of movies. Films that have: lots of explosions; a great soundtrack/score; really hot sex scenes; suspense; lots of action; depth and meaning; a sense of humor.... or any combination of those things and anything else I've forgotten.

Books:

A recent fave is Life of Pi by Yann Martel... The works of Philip K. Dick are also amazing, Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings, assorted vampire stories, spy novels, and other adventures... I'm also reading some software manuals (yeah, I'm a geek)
