integrity, music, poetry, art, quiet moments, old board games, drinks with friends, and finding the best views from cheap hotels.I also dabble in assorted hippie things, goth things, metal things and sleeping. And Bunko. Go figure.
Actually, I have plenty of friends. I'm just here so they know I'm not dead.
Lloyd Cole, SKRV (Sakharov), The Catherine Wheel, Son Volt, Peter Murphy, Misfits, Cocteau Twins, Type O Negative, Cure, Matthew Sweet, Steely Dan, Steve Miller, Marillion, Thomas Dolby, Garbage, Gordon Lightfoot, The Fixx, Screaming Trees, Coil, Love and Rockets, Midge Ure, The Replacements (MN), Rosie Vela, Alana Davis, Bad News/The Young Ones, More Bad News, as well as Prog that you've hear of and some you haven't, opera, chamber quartets, AND Hildegaard von Bingen the very most of all.
"Scent of Green Papaya", "Once", "Amelie", "Miss India Georgia", "Rear Window", "History of the World, Part I", "Six Degrees of Separation", "Strictly Ballroom", "Shirley Valentine", "Rodger Dodger" and a heck of a lot of foreign movies i can't recall.
I will never pay for cable TV. Not ever. So I have no idea what's going on over there, unless its already on DVD.
A few of my favorite tendencies: William Burroughs, Edgar A. Poe, Hunter S. Thompson, Emily Dickinson, "Sonnets of the Portuguese", R. Crumb, old random books of poetry found at second hand stores...but i really prefer periodicals. They're much more pleasing to the eye. And they're concise. Any person could just blither on forever, but those stingy with a word impress me.
