I love to dance. I majored in dance, theater and music in college. I was in an early incarnation of the Zenon dance company here in town. I still act in plays occasionally. I love the capmping and the outdoors. I have a 22'x14' privacy sundeck on the second floor of my house where I live in the summer. Roadtrips. I used to be a hardcore biker (1948 Harley chopper) and I pick small towns on the map, get a hotel room and hit up every country bar in the area. No motorcycle right now, but I'm determined to get a Ducati Monster or a Triumph Speed Triple. Another big goal is to get my professional skydiving license.
.. Primarily Electronic Dance Music but my tastes are varied. I like punk, new metal and jazz. One of the best shows I ever saw was Miles Davis's last show before he died at the old Glam Slam. Not much for classical, a little country.
I'm not a movie person, but I'm always open to intelligent, unusual movies like Akira Kirosawa's Ran and Kagemusha.
I watch a little network television from 7-10 most nights. My favorite shows are Medium, Ghost Whisperer, NCIS, The Unit, CSI Las Vegas, Las Vegas, and Bones. Sunday is for drinking beer and watching sports. Nascar is my favorite sport followed by Professional Bull Riding, Indy/IRL racing and motocross. I raced motocross growing up and I miss it as much as anything I've ever done.
I love to read. I read everything I can get my hands on and I'm currently a business book junkie. I read a lot on-line and I read a lot of periodicals and newspapers. I decided to start reading the Sunday New York Times every week.
Hunter S. Thompson was one of my hero's growing up, but he lost my respect when he killed himself, especially the way he did it. Ditto for Ernest Hemmingway. Jackie Gleason is still a hero. The last year of his life, he was dying of cancer. Time magazine made him their man of the year. Gleason's quote for the cover was "don't be afraid, I'm not. Let's remember the good times." Andre Malraux for sure. I try to be my own hero.
