My Empty Screen is in fact the alter ego of singer-songwriter Normand Charest. After a grunge period with the band Antacids (1994-97), he moves to Montreal where he writes his songs simply under the name Normand. In 2002 he records the album Talias Sounds, and a year later is released a 7-song EP, the first under the guise of My Empty Screen. Finally, in 2004, he records an album entitled Roomtone in a cedar closet, all the while revisiting his grunge roots with a power trio by the name of Scream Elliott (www.myspace.com/screamelliottmusic ). My Empty Screen lives in Quebec City and is working on new material once more.
