Charlie Solomon is in a category by himself. Hidden in the middle of Wisconsin, Charlie is producing a sound that his fans describe as "Raw, infectious, penetrating, enchanting, honest, and above all, beautiful."It is difficult to describe why the words and music of Charlie Solomon are so full of experience and wisdom. Charlie's parents moved from New York to central Wisconsin before he was born. This set up a unique atmosphere for Charlie. While surrounded by the tame culture of the northwoods, Charlie grew up as an outsider, bathed by his father in the folk music of New York City. When asked about his musical influences Charlie smiles. "Bob Dylan changed my life. There have been plenty of other influences, but Dylan showed me that what you must do above all else is be true to yourself. What I learned from Bob is music should come from the unique soul of the artist, and that is what I strive for when writing and performing songs. I want every element of the music, the guitar, the vocals, and the words to express the uniqueness of who I am." Charlie's music collectively tells a story, the story of his life.
