About Me

Jim Carlson hails from the Midwestern city of Wausau, Wisconsin; where he has spent the last two decades as a solo performer (as a acoustic folk/rock singer/songwriter), performed with various bands, produced music festivals and been a stage crew member for touring national acts (both musical and theatrical).
Jim's first solo CD, " Out of Fashion " was released in January 2003, featuring original music in the singer/song writer style. For the next four years, Jim performed constantly, both as a solo artist, leading the Jim Carlson Trio and occasionally as a hard rock/punk guitarist (Doc Holiday, Cool Hand).
In December 2006, after returning from performing in Europe, Jim announced he was taking a break from 'regular performances'.
After a seven month break from the circut, Jim returned to performing in May 2007. In addition to live work, he is currently writing and recording his next release, "Further Out".
