About Me

Dave and Suzanne make music under many guises. Suzanne is a singer and Dave writes, sings (kind of) plays and records things using instruments and a computer. Double Yellow is the project name (cheers Ed) for their collaborations with DJ and producer-extraordinaire from Burnley, Diesler. The story began in 2005 when Dave and Suzanne were promoting their eclectic hiphop, funk and turntablist clubnight 'The Beat Route' in Manchester, attracting the likes of DJ Andy Smith, Bonobo, The Herbaliser, Beatnuts and other top drawer funkateers. On the lookout for a fresh resident DJ, Tru Thoughts' TM Juke suggested they hook up with new signing, Diesler, as he was just up the M6 and a rare new talent on the scene. Several late nights, cups of tea and biscuits later and the 3 were writing tracks together, many of which made it onto Diesler's first 2 LPs - "Diggin it Something Rotten" in 2005 and "Keepie Uppies" in 2006. More efforts are to be found on the latest Diesler album "The Rhythm Station," out now on Freestyle Records. The Beat Route is now (alas) a thing of the past. Dave and Suzanne prefer to spend time making music and dancing round the house rather than designing flyers and decorating venues (although Dave secretly still doodles flyers and logos when no-one is watching). Some of the projects they are involved with include This Morning Call, Strength of the Bear and The Inglish. Dave and Suzanne are always interested in hearing from and collaborating with like-minded creative types.
