About Me

Jazz Improve Guitar Playing/instructor Health Care Worker in LTR with a Beautiful Curvy Mother of two wonderful girls.Played music since the age of 9. My instrument of preference and mastery is guitar. However, I have played other instruments in the string family including Bass, Mandolin, Ukulele, and Steel Guitar. Studied music both privately and in college, most notably with Jazz Master Al Turay who knew his stuff.Currant instruments of choice: 1966 Fender Telecaster, 1951 Gibson L5-C, 1953 Gibson ES 175, and a 2005 Gretsch Double Anniversary.Bands: Modus Operandi (late 80s), Little Big Band (1999 to 2002), Clockwise Titans (2001), Jeannie and the Lamps (2006).Band leader, improve coach, guitar teacher since 1999.Employment history of interest: Virginia Mason for 16 and half years. Left in August of 2005 to form Rehabilitation Institute of Washington with James Moore, PhD (Director) and Heather Kroll, MD (Medical Director).Spiritual background: Member of Seattle First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Fellow musicians, here, there, and everywhere, interests in playing and learning good music.

Music:

Jazz, Rockabilly, Swing, Bebop, Rock, Blues, and vintage Country. You know the Texas Swing stuff and Nashville up until about 1965. Not much into Garth Brooks - bar music kind of stuff.

Movies:

Citizen Kane, Sunset Boulevard, Bron Yesterday (1950 version please!), The Apartment, Dr. Strangelove, To Kill A Mockingbird, A Face In The Crowd, Young Man With A Horn, Rear Window, Midnight Cowboy, The Odd Couple, Little Big Man, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Five Easy Pieces.

Television:

PBS, Mariners Baseball (Only sports team I like) Weather Channel, History and or Discovery Channel (Not so much and more as they've moved more towards the fantasy that Oswald did it). Favorite all time shows would have to be Ren & Stimpy and The Mary Tyler More Show. Rocky & Bullwinkle, All In The Family, and The Bob Newhart Show would be fair runner ups.

Books:

Better books on the subject of JFK's Assassination, Authors include Mark Lane, Jim Mars, Peter Dale Scott, Josiah Thompson, James Fetzer, Dick Russel, and Gaeton Fonzi. 20th Century Presidential Biographies on FDR, HST, JFK, LBJ, & RN. Watergate. Nafeez - The War On Freedom, Bamford - Body of Secrets, Yergen - The Prize, Brzekinski - The Grand Chessboard, "The Jazzmaster Cookbook" by James Grantham (Simply the best book I've run across on the subject of Jazz Improve Theory), XTC Songs & Stories, Psychology/Mental Health books on the subjects of Bipolar, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, and the DSM, Alice Miller's For Your Own Good. History on the subject of Aircraft & Warplanes.
