About Me

Who the heck am I? Who do I think I am? a) I'm a guitar player in the Dana Osborn band aka "Changes" b) I'm an electronic technician that serves the Greater NW area musicians, studios, theaters, churches, concert venues etc.. My job is to fix/restore their broken down amplifiers, effects and other stage type equipment. I had a shop in Bellevue, WA called [Erickson Audio] from 1992 to 2006. In May 2006 I joined forces with a High School friend Morris Gattegno, [Morris Electronics] (We went to different High Schools but had mutual friends & jammed together) and a friend of his, Mike Manson of [Village Music]. Together we have formed a corporation known as [Aviator Audio], dba [Aviator Guitars] on Hwy 99 in Edmonds WA. [www.aviatoraudio.com] I was the Electronic Tech & one of Roger Fisher & Nancy Wilson's Personal Guitar Roadies for Hearts "Dog & Butterfly" tour from Aug. 1978 - Sept. 1979 and then in 1983 I went out with them again for the "Passionworks" tour with Mark Andes and Denny Carmassi on Bass and Drums. Lately I've been playing in a band with the original drummer from Heart's first five albums, Mike Derosier. The band "Dana Osborn and Changes" is a combination original music and cover band that rocks the house wherever we go. I started my musical career at around five years old - (around the same time I discovered Buddy Holly & the Everly Brother's music)) watching my Uncle play piano and when he was done, trying to copy what I had seen him play. This developed my musical ear which I later applied to learning to play my brother's drums and then to guitar. To this day I rely more on my ear(s) than my technical knowledge of music, or the guitar. What the heck - it's gotten me this far...

Music:

Anything from Country to Heavy Metal! If it sounds good then it IS good!

Movies:

I'll have to get back to you on this. I've seen lots of movies but I can't think of any right now that really moved me. The last really good ones I've watched were "Ghandi" and "The Aviator". I did enjoy the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. I just wish I would have read the books first. Still haven't.

Television:

I mainly watch Comedy Central or the Adult Swim cartoon network, or just pop in a DVD.

Books:

Illusions by Richard Bach, Real Magic by Dr. Wayne Dyer, The Adventures of Susy Wong, anything on Quantum Physics, most anything by John Grisham or Michael Crichton. Lots of technical reference books, Hammer of the Gods, currently reading The Keith Richards Story.

Heroes:

A Hero ain't nothin but a sandwich...
