Jason Green and the Labor Of Love

About Me

Hi, as you can tell from my picture I am a guitar player, and I am originaly from Cleveland OH. After years of touring nationaly and internationaly I relocated to NYC in April 2004. I spent 4 yrs on the road with retired bluesman Jimmy Ley (former band leader for Robert Lockwood jr.), and 3 1/2 yrs on the road with Clarksdale Mississippi legend, Big Jack Johnson and the Oilers. I have played most of the major blues/jazz fests, including Chicago blues fest, New Orleans jazz fest, WC Handy awards, King Biscuit fest, Telluride, Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, Daytona bike Week and many many more. Now in NYC, I work with various artists like Christine Santelli, Nikki Armstrong, Felix Cabrera, and more. I also have a band called Jason Green and the Labor of Love. We are, Guitar/Vocals, Bass, Sax, and Drums. We play all styles of roots music, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, Western Swing, Funk, Latin etc. We have regular stints at many NYC / NJ clubs as well as many private event and wedding dates. I also do a lot of solo guitar gigs ala Joe Pass/Merle Travis. I am endorsed by DAngelico guitars and Ernie Ball Strings. For contact info and more/longer music samples, check out the website:
