About Me

I am a recording studio owner (30+ years) and musician. I've recorded, produced, or played on just about every type of recording session you can imagine. Guitar is my main instrument, but I also play bass, banjo, and pedal steel. My main instruments are a custom Bales Tele (awesome guitar!), Carvin Strat, a Custom Jerry Shadrick acoustic (another awesome guitar!)and Peavey HP electric. I usually play through an old Johnson J-Station or a Fender Deluxe in the studio. My live rig is pretty simple -- Boss pedals, EB volume pedal and a Fender Deluxe. Old school!I started playing guitar around the age of 12 or 13. My dad was a professional musician and always hosting jam sessions. My influences are pretty much all over the place. My first LPs were everything from Peter, Paul & Mary to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. When I'm just listening and kicking back, I dig Rod Stewart, Michael Buble, Sinatra, Tony Bennett. But, I still love a tele twang and I get into Ray Flacke and Brent (what's his name!). I'm a lucky guy because my adorable and understanding wife, Chris, has supported this recording and playing habit for more than 30 years. She's a keeper! I'm also the owner of one of the oldest recording studios in Missouri -- AudioLoft Recording Studios in Macks Creek. Check it out at www.audioloftstudios.com.
