The Bio & Singing Ministry of Pastor Burton (Myss Toni):Born February 8th, the eldest of four children in Statesville, North Carolina, to Bishop Walter Burton & the late Evangelist Mildred Burton.
Surtonia grew up knowing what singing was all about. Being pushed in front of rooms filled with people and at church by age 5.
In March of 1983 after obeying the voice of God, her father began his own ministry - New Freedom Apostolic Holiness Church, Inc. During these early years, Surtonia was the Youth Choir director, a clinitian for the church choirs and local area churches, a soloist traveling with her Pastors and Praise & Worship leader.
June 11, 1994, Surtonia accepted the calling of God into the ministry and began preaching the Word. Ordained in 1997, there began to be a greater elevation on her life: The five fold ministry was in full operation in the church with great manifestations in the earth realm. Under the anointing of the Holy Ghost people have been delivered from demons, sicknesses and sin!
In 2001, Surtonia decided to start building a career in singing, so she began buying books and learning the business of the music industry, and was offered opportunities in R&B, after performing for and with artists in the local areas. She began recording with producers Kaye Daye of Soul Seeker Entertainment, Shawn Carroll, William Gillespie, and Virgil Davis, these resulted in various singles, one of which was released in 2002, entitled One More Chance. With the release of her debut single. Surtonia decided to start MITYME (My-Time) Productions, which is the beginning of her career goals in the music industry.Now, Surtonia is living in the DC metro area and is a member of Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church - under the leadership of Bishop Alfred & Co-Pastor Susie Owens. She is the Alto Section Leader for the young adult choir - 'Celebration'.Since moving to the DC Metro area she has worked with well known area producers: D en D Productions, Nikko Starr, and Rick Logan.This is definitely only the beginning!
