Zak Williams & 1/Akord was formed in April of 2004 by Founder Zak & Co-Founder his wife LaTonya Williams. 1/AKORD consists of 30 individuals from Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey,Maryland from various denominations united together to uplift the word of God through song. The spiritual covering for this music ministry is Bishop Mary Alexander. Although the choir has been together 2 1/2 years they have been blessed to minister with some of Gospel music's finests artist: JMoss, Ricky Dillard & New G, Kurt Carr, James Hall & Worship & Praise,Donald Lawernce & The Tri City Singers, Pastor Hezekiah Walker & LFC, Myron Butler & Levi, Dottie Peoples, Pastor Shirley Ceasar & Dr. Bobby Jones & Josh Groban just to name a few. ZW & 1AKD was also blessed to be apart of Bobby Jones' Presents taped from The International Gospel Industry Retreat & The Urban Impact Summit. Both aired on the Word Network & Also appeared on Bobby Jones Gospel aired on BET. . Z.W. & 1/Akord's first live recording was held on Monday, February 21, 2005 at Ford Memorial Temple in Philadelphia, PA.
