About Me

JC Thompson & Beyond Blessed are an ensemble of musicians dedicated to glorifying God by spreading the message of unconditional love to the world through music ministry. Formally originated in August 2006 by Praise Minister JC Thompson, Beyond Blessed has already lived up to their name. The have shared the stage with Gospel greats: Donnie McClurkin, Richard Smallwood, Byron Cage, Rev. Timothy Wright, Fred Hammond, Myron Butler, Lucresia Campbell, Kelly Price, Tye Tribbett, J. Moss, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise and a host of others.Praise Minister JC Thompson & Beyond Blessed have just recorded their first project "Born To Praise" & are currently in the process of recording their debut album, "We're...Beyond Blessed". Two songs, "Strength" and "Friend!" written by JC Thompson, have already been featured on NYC based WRKS-FM "98.7 Kiss FM Night of Healing" compilation CD along with Kirk Franklin, Kelly Price, Fred Hammond, J. Moss, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Deitrick Haddon, The McClurkins and a host of other Gospel artists. JC Thompson & Beyond Blessed has participated and presided over numerous charitable events including an annual benefit concert for the United Negro College Fund in conjuction with Livingstone College in North Carolina. Praise Minister JC Thompson has begun to take world of Gospel by storm! Born the grandson of a prominent Gospel Music, promoter Rina Crutchfield, "Praise Minister JC" heard his music ministry calling at the age of four. By the age of six he joined â€œThe Cherubsâ€, a family Gospel group that toured the Northeast, captivating audiences with an incredible stage presence and a mature vocal styling. By age twelve, JC Thompson started directing choirs and arranging music. With an impressive 4 1/2-octave range, this dramatic baritone attended the Westchester Conservatory of Music, The Julliard School of Music, and University of North Carolina/Elizabeth City State, all on a full music scholarship.An accomplished songwriter, his eclectic music tastes are as wide as his octave range. With television and film credits, JC has also performed on & off Broadway. JC is a member of the Gospel Music Association, the Stellar Awards, Gospel Music Academy, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS) and a proud member of Xi Phi (NYC) Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
