The Celebration Choir of Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church was formed in January of 2005 to musically unite the younger generation of the church in a way that had not been previously done. Named by their Pastor, Bishop Alfred Owens "because they love to Celebrate", the Celebration Choir encompasses high energy, passion, and excitement through worship.
After being in existence for two years, the Celebration Choir has gained a local and regional ministry reputation. Celebration has ministered alongside several well-known gospel recording artists and ministers of the gospel through their local church and in the Washington Metropolitan area.
The mission of the Celebration Choir is to encompass a youth and young adult body of believers whose main objective is to minister music, with an emphasis on young adult ministry. They are a body of psalmists who are dedicated to God and focused on Christ, while enjoying their young adulthood and exhibiting the joy of Christ through song, praise, and worship.
