May you find peace and comfort from your stroll
through my Garden.
Sit awhile, and reflect on all the beauty that surrounds you!! Please come back often!
Garden of Peace and Serenity"The Garden Gate"
I have many interests..... I love to take long walks with my grand-daughter, and look for treasure. I like to find a quiet place by a pond, or lake, and reflect. I love to read.I am a spiritual person, and I love to help people in any way I can.... I love history, and love old homesteads, and historical places of interest.
Take the time to savor each moment you are given!
Life is fleeting, and we forget to stop and remember
the little things... Embrace the joys in life!!
AffirmationsThink of each affirmation that you find in my garden as a tiny seed in your mind. The thought is the seed, and your mind is the soil.First you have to plant it (post it where you can see it daily).
Then you have to nurture it (repeat it lovingly to yourself often). You have to give it time.
You then wait for it to grow. It isn't much when it starts out - a scrawny little thing, barely recognizable.Give it plenty of fertilizer (positive thoughts).
Water it regularly (don't neglect your garden).
Be sure to weed your garden by pulling all of the weeds (negative thoughts).
After a while, your tiny little seed will become a beautiful plant that will bloom and bear you beautiful flowers and fruit. And you will find that you really do love yourself and you will know that you are special.....
I'd like to meet:
I would like to meet interesting people!! People who are loving, and kind, and care to make a difference in this world. I am a happy person, and I enjoy having fun! I love people who embrace joy everyday!! I love angels, and things of a spiritual nature. People who are here to help others, and embrace joy, and happiness are of great interest to me...
Life comes with obstacles. Obstacles that must be pursued. No matter how rough the obstacle. You will succeed by trying your best. Failure does not exist if you try. Taking "one day at a time." You cannot change the past; the best is yet to come. The present is now, focus and work on the present. Success will follow in the future.
There is inside you
All of the potential
To be whatever you want to be;
All of the energy
To do whatever you want to do.
Imagine yourself as you would like to be,
Doing what you want to do,
And each day, take one step
Towards your dream.
And though at times it may seem too
difficult to continue,
Hold on to your dream.
One morning you will awake to find
That you are the person you dreamed of,
Doing what you wanted to do,
Simply because you had the courage
To believe in your potential
And to hold on to your dream."This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for it's own sake. Life is no 'brief candle' to me. It is sort of a splendid torch which I have a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it over to future generations." -- George Bernard Shaw
As I stumble through this life,
help me to create more laughter than tears.Never let me become so indifferent,
that I will fail to see the wonder in the eyes of a
child.Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer
people,
make them forget, at least momentarily,
the unpleasantness in their lives.
and in my final moment, may I hear You whisper:
"When you made My people smile, you made Me
smile."~Author Unknown~
Dainty little dandelion,
Once we sang of you;
In the dear old school days,
When our years were new.
And we watched in spring time
For the yellow heads
That came gently peeping
From the wintry beds.
Dainty little dandelion,
Don't you, dear, get mad,
Just because the cities
And towns now have a fad.
Don't you stop your growing,
Don't forget to bloom;
Yes, I hear you saying,
"There will still be room."
The porch swing hangs fixed in a morning sun
that bleaches its gray slats, its flowered cushion
whose flowers have faded, like those of summer,
and a small brown spider has hung out her web
on a line between porch post and chain
so that no one may swing without breaking it.
She is saying it’s time that the swinging were done with,
time that the creaking and pinging and popping
that sang through the ceiling were past,
time now for the soft vibrations of moths,
the wasp tapping each board for an entrance,
the cool dewdrops to brush from her work
every morning, one world at a time.
If You Have RegretsLife is a curving and fluid journey. Because I am always moving through learning stages, I cannot look back or measure. I learn through my relationships because that is how I begin to define who I am. Nothing is unforgivable in life. I know nursing this hurt is holding me back from fully being with others; therefore I choose to thank the universe for giving me another opportunity to develop my soul by knowing another person. I move easily through this experience.
God's GardenThe Lord God planted a garden
In the first white days of the world,
And He set there an angel warden
In a garment of light enfurled. So near to the peace of Heaven,
That the hawk might nest with the wren,
For there in the cool of the even
God walked with the first of men.And I dream that these garden-closes
With their shade and their sun-flecked sod
And their lilies and bowers of roses,
Were laid by the hand of God.
Sleep my angel, sleep
for your love for me is gone
Sleep through the night
and drift away at the light of dawnFly my angel, fly
away from me I plead
Fly so you won't see me cry
because your love I desperately needHide my angel, hide
So you, I'll never find
Hide behind the stars
because the stars are blindForgive my angel, forgive
I know I did you wrong
but know my angel, know
I loved you all along...
Movies:
I love all romantic comedies, and of course the classics. I loved Lord Of The Rings, Braveheart, Troy, The Gladiator, Pirates Of The Carribean, Lion King, Madagasgar... The list goes on, and on.
Like I did, you will have to tend your garden... You have to to weed it of bad thoughts, water it with nurturing care, and give it plenty of sunshine and positive thoughts. Surround it with loving people.
And, most of all, share your garden with others.
Television:
I love the Discovery Channel, The History Channel, Science Channel, HGTV, Turner classics. I love American Idol, Dancing With The Stars.....Tears"The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears. If there were no rain, fields would become parched and brittle, and many creatures would die. If we could not cry, all our emotions would eventually dry up, too. Soon we would not laugh, either. Our tears cleanse us. Our tears heal us; they make us whole.Tears are as important to our growth as rain is to a flower.
They help release the pressure of sadness so we can feel better. After a storm, when the sun shines again through the clouds, a brightly colored rainbow appears. After our tears, our inner sun shines, and rainbows are formed from our pain. From Today's Gift, a Hazelden Meditation BookFurther Along the Garden PathGod's designs regarding you, and his methods of bringing about those designs are infinitely wise.
There may be a great working in your life when it all seems dark and you cannot see or trace, but yet God is working just as truly as did He work "all that night", and all the next day.
No man is made until he has been out into the surge of the storm and found the sublime fulfillment of the prayer:
"Oh, God, take me, break me, make me".
Books:
I am a voracious reader, and have been my whole life. I enjoy generational, historical novels.... I enjoy spiritual books. I enjoy so many types of classic novels, that they are too numerous to list.I loved The Red Tent, Memoirs Of A Geisha, Mysts Of Avalon, Harry Potter.... I have finished The Secret, and it has opened up awareness for me.........
Heroes:
AS far as my heroes are concerned... I would have to say the two people who were responsible for bringing me into this world, and loving me unconditionally! My mom, and dad raised me with so much love! I always felt secure, and cherished....
I love Mother Theresa, in her selfless devotion to humankind! She epitomizes what God wants us to be! I love my children, and my grandchildren, for without them, my life would be so devoid of meaning!!!
Adult butterflies are wonderfully diverse in shape, size, and color. Active during the day, they live almost everywhere around the world, from Arctic tundra to tropical rain forests
Be kind to yourself;
Be gentle with your thoughts and feelings.
For the more we can love ourselves and the more honest we can be
with our own emotions, the freer we are to love and give joy to others
Twelve winters turning into spring and fall and
Back into the summer of this one bright day.
And home has beckoned, and I am no further away
Than ever.
Before the day edges towards eventide
Before the sun shrivels in a purple cloak of dusk
In the mists of voided, voiceless, separated years
I know whoever calls me home again
Will find me there.
"It's amazing what can truly happen,
How your life can be so grand;
When you give up trying on your own,
And let an angel hold your hand."

You who walk,
Maybe with troubled thoughts,
Come, enter here and rest;
And may the sweet serenity of growing things,
And the heavenly,peace
Be mirrored in they soul.

Weep no more my little one
Take my hand in yours
Feel this love within me
Let me guide you through Heavens door
Walk in my footprints, as I light the way
Cause only GOD knows the answers
Only he can foresee, each ones way
In storms, I will shelter you
Your tears, you cry are not alone
In heartaches, I'll embrace you
In death GOD will restore your soul
For I am only His messenger
Sent to watch over you
To enlighten your spirits
My waiting arms to cradle you
MY DEAR CHILD.
You are the poem
I dreamed of writing
the masterpiece
I longed to paint.
You are the shining star
I reached for In my
ever hopeful quest
for life fulfilled..
You are my child.
Now with all things
I am blessed.
My eyes gaze up to the heavens
as so many times before.
So vast,
Unbridled,
Uncharted,
FREE.I wasn't made for the land,
it doesn't soothe me
It contains me.When the roaring ocean rages,
I'm at peace.
When travelling through the blue sky,
I rejoice.Because I'm free.
Left to my thoughts.
Allowed to explore.
To be independent.
To breathe new air.
My imagination can race, unchecked,
among the clouds
