About Me

Krik? Krak! - a call-response tradition of oral narrative and story-telling, where you are not merely an observer - you are part of the story!! As the tradition goes someone says, ..Krik?' and as loudly as you can you say ..Krak!' You urge the person to tell the story by your enthusiasm to hear it.

KRIK KRAK is a not-for-profit Black led, arts organisation, our mission is to raise awareness, educate and celebrate cultural heritage and diversity through creative arts and new media.
Our activities are varied and we've been involved in:
* Producing and staging productions
* Mounting exhibitions such as the 'Faces of Freedom' presently at the Museum of Fulham Palace
* Creating and publishing multi-cultural learning materials
* Running awareness sessions and training programmes
* Forming collaborative partnerships
* Sharing knowledge and expertise

This powerful, uplifting and uncompromising theatrical experience will take you on the journey of the transatlantic slave trade – from deepest Africa, to the law courts of England; from capture to abolition; from obscurity to celebrity.

“Nobody Knows” addresses both the history of the Transatlantic slave trade and some of the issues which are being dealt with today that has its roots in slavery; issues of skin colour and its effect on Black identity, the role of the Christian church in enslavement and liberation, and the part played by Blacks in their emancipation.
