Ok. So I thought it's time to put something in this section. Well I start with the fact that I am truly blessed. I am blessed for having the kind of family I have. My mother is the ROOT. She is what binds us and makes us the unit that we are. ____________________________________________________________ __So let's begin. I trained with Patrick Jean-Paul Denis. He is in my top 8, check him out. He knows what he is talking about. He will push you. This man is not there to just take your money. He wants to see you progress. It was through his patience (the Lord knows I tested it) and pushing I began to blossom. However, it was my self doubt that halted my progress. My confidence had taken a bashing over the years but there comes a time when you say "you know what, enough of this sh!t, just do something". I joined a band and started gigging. That never worked out and I decided that singing was not for me. Every time I turned my back on music and I've done it often, something or someone would drag me right back in. So I'd gig here and there, record a tune here and there that never saw the light of day, but there was no real sense of direction. Do you understand what I'm saying?_____________________________________________________ _________Fed up and moaning a lot and boy can I moan, my brother sent me a text one day saying "You must believe you can achieve whatever you want. Doubt is just a figment of your imagination". My mum (she call's herself the text Queen!) sent me a text "When your heart decides the destination, your mind will the design the map to reach it". Wow. I was getting sooooo tired of being tired. I went to Jamaica to be with my Dad who just gave me the space to be. So much has happened in 2006, good and bad, but it is all preparation for what is meant to be. I know the Creator has a plan for me. I believe I am down to earth, open and honest but that is just my opinion. I'll leave it up to you. ____________________________________________________________ __Ultimately, I want to write songs that inspire and uplift the listener, for that is what music is all about. I love people. I love life. Everyday you open your eyes to the world is a blessing even when things are going bad. It's up to you how you choose to react to what's going on around you. You have the power. Remember that!
