"Julia was born into a family of musicians in Kiev, Ukraine 1983. Inspired by her mother (a ukranian pianist) and her father (a cuban violinist) she began to play the piano at age 7, and after a few years also the violin. In 1992 Julia's family moved to Sweden where she had her piano debut consert with Kabalevsky concierto. The following years she did a lot of performances on both piano and violin in Scandinavia and Europe, and also appeared in national tv and radio. During these stimulating years she found the piano to be the most natural way of expressing her self, and therefor began studying at Royal College of Music in Stockholm as a pianist when she was 16. She is now graduated with a soloist diploma and have several competition prizes and rewards behind her. She also continues to play the violin in different projects, most recently as a member of "Quintet Orfeo" where the focus lies on cuban classical music.""Rhapsody in Blue"
