About Me

The story of Yidaki Groove is a story about friends having great fun and the ability of creating new, interesting music. It all started 1999 in a small studio in Stockholm, Sweden when Roland recorded his crossover mixture of modern club and rock-music with the aboriginal didgeridoo as a front instrument. The idea was to create something that never been done before. Yidaki Grooves self titled album was released in 2000 and shortly after that the band started touring festivals. From then on, Yidaki Groove received well deserved acknowledgement in the media and Roland (Rolo) got the opportunity to play with, record and open for musicians such as Jane Kitto (AUS), Brian Kramer (USA), Charlie McMahon (AUS) and The White Cockatoo Performing Group (AUS). Roland plays the didgeridoo with the deepest respect for the Aboriginal people and their culture.
