About Me

Who Are We?

Kat Marsh is based in Devon. We are Kat (guitars & vox), Matt (bass) & Si (drums). Kat was going solo until New Years Eve 2006 when she & Matt had their first show. Si joined in time for us to play Maker Festival in July.
As a band we're quite new, but individually we've been around much longer. Si has drummed/drums for tons of bands including No Comply, Crazy Arm, Dethlehem & the Dharma Bums. Matt jazzes off in the Half Quartet & used to play bass for Joey The Lips. Kat was in a band in Cardiff for a few years & got to support both Regina Spektor & the Scissor Sisters at Cardiff Barfly (before they were hugely famous).
What Do We Do?
We play live as a band, a duo and Kat on her own. Kat & Matt both have looping pedals (Akai E2 & Boss RS-20 respectively) and like to mess about with them live. Matt loves bass and plays 6-string (fretted & fretless), a 4-string Fender Jazz (slaptastic) & the uber cool double bass at our shows. T'is a sight to behold! Also look out for big vocals, breakbeat jams, dirty blues, bass solos, live looping & dancing tunes.

Sing It, Voce & Welcome were recorded in London earlier this year - produced & mixed by Tom Cook at Gammy Leg studios.
NB: Voce is a vocal arrangement (all Kat) with Tom Cook on percussion.
Wayfaring Stranger (Trad) was recorded in Matt's front room in early 2007.
