pick up ECKHART TOLLE, have Conversations with God and get high on Marianne Williamson while many older mentors honour the Affirmational Queen Bee herself - LOUISE HAY.

This book was the ideal bedside prop in every 80's AIDS film right up to PHILADELPHIA - I first read it in 1984 when EMPOWERMENT
was the buzz word, before chems were king.
It can seem a bit dated now but the message that
THOUGHT IS CREATIVE still rings true.

We all have a role to play

While the gay ravers of Vauxhall and beyond may think they’re onto something new, they are, in fact, practicing an ancient form of meditation.
The use of repetitive beats to induce a trance-like state is prehistoric, universal and likely to be everlasting. Whether it’s a rabbit skin bongo, hand claps or a computer generated kick drum - it’s the beats which offer the escape from oneself.
To seek foot-stomping, arse shaking, hand waving release in a large group of people makes the high more intense and the energy easier to absorb.

Drugs offer a shortcut, but aren’t essential -
except perhaps at an afterhours on a Monday afternoon. The endorphins released while dancing, mixed with the joy of a shared experience are as primitive as sexual desire and spontaneous creativity.

Basically, since the dawn of time, humans have been ‘aving it large.
