Toggi Jónsson

Born 29 of May. 1976 in Reykjavik, Iceland. Began my studies at the age of 17 on electric bass and graduated from the Musician’s Union School in Reykjavik in the spring 2001. Took up the acoustic bass and studied classical music before moving to Den Haag, The Netherlands where I studied at the Jazz department of the Royal Conservatory from 2002 until 2006. After moving back to Reykjavik, Iceland I’ve been involved in various projects playing, jazz, Balkan music, pop and rock. Please check out the BonSom page, a new band I’m a part of.
