About Me

Hullo! Welcome to my space. Thanks for dropping by. Here below you will find information about me and my musical projects. I hope you like it. Have fun!

A short bio:

Jakob started playing music at the age of 7 where he begun playing the piano. A few years later, at the age of twelve, he discovered the wondrous world of saxophone. He started playing the alto, and later he expanded to the soprano and tenor.

In 1999 he enrolled at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, and finished both the bachelors degree and the masters degree. He studied main instrument with John Ruocco, and received lessons in theory, composition, piano, classical saxophone a.o. He has later expanded and now plays many secondary instruments (a.o. piano, bass, guitar and drums). He also doubles on flute.

During his studies at the conservatory, he particpated in many projects and groups. He played every year at the North Sea Jazz Festival.
Jakob has great experience with composing and arranging, here he mainly focuses on electronic music, and arrangements for horn sections.
